WHISKEY

Uncle Nearest Whiskey

Probably the most buzzed-about label on this round-up, Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey is inspired by the best Whiskey maker that the world never knew. The first known African American Master Distiller, Nathan "Nearest" Green. Nearest was an enslaved man who distilled whiskey in the 1850s and taught young Jack Daniel the craft. Of course, when your backstory centers around the former slave who taught Jack Daniel everything he knew about distilling, it makes sense that folks would have an interest.

Under the leadership of Fawn Weaver, the company has built its "brand on its knack for sourcing the best of Tennessee whiskies and bourbons, and using its own non-temperature-controlled aging process and unique post-aging double filtration method that significantly changes the characteristics and profile of these whiskies." The company has three expressions including, Uncle Nearest 1884, Uncle Nearest 1820, and Uncle Nearest 1856. These three ultra-premium whiskies have garnered more than 125 awards since launching in July 2017. This company has done an excellent job of honoring the first black master distiller on public record.

Uncle Nearest is available nationwide.

Indoggo Gin

Now this one is super fun and one I definitely never knew existed before now. Indoggo Gin was developed by Mr. Gin and Juice himself Snoop D-O-Double G. What better celebrity to create a new gin expression than Calvin "Snoop Dogg" Broadus.  The Indoggo website called this gin the "ultimate remix of seven premium botanicals infused with all-natural strawberry flavor. "In addition to the Juniper Berry, other botanicals including orange coriander, and cassia. It has a strawberry and citrus flavor that is slightly sweet and has a fruity finish.

Check out the Indoggo website for more on this fun spirit from one of our favorite rappers of all time.

INDOGGO is available in most states
